What can we learn from the BIBLE ?

Let us look at a some parts from this beautiful Book!

God's four severe judgments.

For thus says the Lord GOD: “How much more it shall be when I send My four severe judgments on Jerusalem—the sword and famine and wild beasts and pestilence—to cut off man and beast from it? ( Ezekiel 14: 21 )

We see these four severe judgments everywhere in the Bible, but about that lateron.

Sword, hunger and pestilence are familiar judgments, but the wild animals, what kind of judgment is that? The same chapter gives a clear answer: “If I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they empty it, and make it so desolate that no man may pass through because of the beasts……….. the land would be desolate”. ( vs 15 )

All this has the effect of depopulation of the country. That there will be no human being left!

When did we first see these four severe judgments?

1. Wild animals or depopulation or desolation

2. Sword, war or enmity

3. Hunger

4. Pestilence, disease and death.

That was after the fall. ( Genesis 3 ) Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden of Eden and blamed each other and the serpent, and enmity came between the serpent ( satan ) and man. They also had to go to great lengths to harvest their food. And death came pretty fast into their lives when Cain beat his brother Abel to death.

Furthermore, we see these four severe judgments as a warning in the curses for disobedience. ( Deuteronomy 28 ) But also in other prophecies these four severe judgments are told of. ( Among others Jer. 14: 12 and 15: 2,3 Ezekiel 5: 10-17 and Zechariah 6: 1-8 four chariots and horses )

At last we should name the first four seals that are opened by the Lamb. ( Revelation 6: 1-9 ) After the opening of the fourth seal we read, "And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with famine, with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth". ( Rev. 6: 8b ) Compare Ezekiel 14: 12-16.

Conclusion: We read of: A great war, famine, pestilences and depopulation!

These four severe judgments of God will then affect the whole earth and kill 25% of the world's population, say 2 billion people will die from it! This will affect the whole world economy severely!

Is there anything to say about when this happens? It must be right after the Rapture of the believers, the Church, when the Lamb is going to break the seals of the scroll.

Many prophecies will come together at the same time in a kind of fullness of time.

Then the war of Ezekiel 38/39 will take place after a major natural disaster first paralyses America and Europe. See more about this later. As a result there will be great famine and pestilence, with the said consequence of so many deaths. And all this is just the beginning of the "Great Tribulation". The first seal to be opened therefore has to do with the "wild beasts" or depopulation! It is four severe judgments against which man has no resistance. One should think of a major natural disaster, which is accompanied by Tsunami. ( See Habakuk 3: 15, 16 and Luke 21: 25, 26 ) Both texts are about the beginning of the "Great Tribulation".
